DEC
How It Works
A DEC, or Display Energy Certificate, is a mandatory certificate that demonstrates the energy efficiency of public access buildings. An advisory report is also included in a DEC.

A DEC is required for buildings that provide public access and must be displayed clearly. It is valid between 7 – 10 years and failure to provide a valid certificate can lead up to fines of £500. The Advisory Report is valid for up to 7 years.

How We Perform DEC Assessments
To perform this service, we need the name and address of the business' site so that we can send out one of our qualified assessors to visit the site, log all the energy assets, review their performance and produce the DEC certificate.

DECs are mandatory and are needed by any building that provides public access. This mean many business will need to have a valid DEC displayed if they want to avoid any fines. We can carry out DEC assessments in England and Wales for our partners' clients.
